Complete Your Florida Judge-Ordered Driving Course Online

If you've been directed by a Florida court or judge to enroll in an eight-hour traffic school, or if you've received a second ticket within a 12-month period, our Intermediate Driver Improvement (IDI) course can help you meet the necessary requirements and keep your driving record clean.

This course is accepted by all Florida courts and is approved by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV). Plus, the format is 100% online, meaning you can learn how to drive safely from any device — whether that be a computer, tablet or smartphone.

Who Is Required to Enroll?

Our 8-hour Driver Improvement course is specifically designed for individuals who have been directed by a Florida court or judge to complete a defensive driving program. It's also a popular choice for drivers who have received two traffic citations within a 12-month period and want to prevent license suspension.

Please note, this course is not intended for individuals required to take an 8-hour aggressive driving class. Additionally, if your license has already been suspended or revoked, you may be required to take the 12-hour Advanced Driver Improvement Course instead.

To determine exactly which course you need to take, review your court paperwork or contact the FLHSMV.

Course Structure

The state of Florida requires this driving course to be at least eight hours long. However, students can work through the content at their own pace, starting and stopping as needed.

The course is organized into 15 manageable modules, covering topics such as traffic safety regulations and defensive driving techniques.

To ensure a comprehensive understanding of the material, each module is timed, and a brief quiz must be completed before you can move on to the next section. Once you've completed all the modules, you'll take a final exam. A passing score of at least 80% is required to finish the course.
