Jacksonville Traffic School
If you received a traffic ticket in Jacksonville, Neptune Beach, Jacksonville Beach or anywhere else in Duval County, we can help you get those points removed from your license.
In Duval County, you will have 30 days from the date the ticket was issued to respond to the citation. You must contest the ticket, pay the ticket, or elect to take a 4-hour Basic Driver Improvement course.
If you elect to take traffic school, you must first notify the Duval County Court to approve the request. There are two ways to do this:
By Mail: Mail in your citation, payment (via check, money order or cash) and signed, notarized election form (received by the issuing officer) or a signed, notarized letter electing traffic school to:
Jody Phillips, Clerk of Courts
Traffic Violations Bureau
P.O. Box 660
Jacksonville, FL 32201
In Person: Appear at a Duval County court and request to take traffic school. You will also need to pay the associated fine at this time using check, cash, money order, Visa or MasterCard. There are two locations where you may do this.
Traffic Violations Bureau
501 West Adams St
Jacksonville, FL 32202
Beaches Branch
1543 Atlantic Blvd
Atlantic Beach, FL 32233
Once you are approved to take traffic school, you will have 60 days from the traffic school election date to complete the course and submit your certificate of completion. The election date is the date of fine payment; for submissions by mail, contact the Clerk of Courts to confirm your due date.
Your completion certificate can be submitted in person to one of the above locations or can be mailed to the P.O. Box address above. If mailed, you will need to ensure you mail in time for the certificate to be received prior to your deadline. Florida Online Traffic School offers multiple certificate delivery options to help you meet your deadline.
